Actor, host, writer, producer, singer…and huge nerd.
Alexa got bitten by the acting bug at a very young age. In high school, she studied with Burt Reynolds. Yes, The Burt Reynolds! She went on to earn her MFA in Theatre Arts & Education from Florida Atlantic University, where she received an Irene Ryan Award nomination for her performance as Chris Mundy in Dancing at Lughnasa. During her time there, she immersed herself in classical acting techniques, including the methods of Stanislavsky and Michael Chekhov, while also mastering Shakespeare, movement, and extensive dialect coaching using IPA. She even shared her knowledge by teaching acting to BFA students.
With a strong foundation in musical theatre, Alexa has portrayed iconic roles such as Audrey (twice!) in Little Shop of Horrors and Amy in Sondheim's Company, earning accolades for her performances. After graduation, she began her career in New York City before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue opportunities in film, television, and theater.
Since moving to LA, Alexa has become a member of SAG-AFTRA, written and starred in films, and discovered her passion for hosting, voiceover work, and producing. She has produced a variety of projects, including a commercial for Diablo Immortal, co-produced Snoop Dogg’s music video “Crip Ya Enthusiasm,” and produced & starred as the host of Lex Levels Up, a cosplay build show celebrating the creativity and dedication of the cosplay community.
A lifelong gamer and self-proclaimed nerd, Alexa has spent years immersed in video games and MMOs. She now works full time with Above Board TV, creating sketch comedy focused on tabletop games and nerd culture.
Recently, Alexa starred in the short film Disfigura alongside Doug Jones. The film premiered at LA’s Scream Fest and since earned multiple accolades on the festival circuit, including Best Horror Film from TBUFF. She also wrapped the short film Virginia in the Woods, which is set for release in 2025.
In her spare time, Lex enjoys cosplaying as her favorite characters at conventions, singing, boxing, watching aaaaaallll the movies, and playing D&D.
